Our rainy little Easter Sunday ...

Family, friends, food, egg hunt, goodies and a celebration of the Lords resurrection.
And the weekend couldn't have been any sweeter.
We simply hung out as a family .... spent Saturday coloring eggs, which is always an adventure around here .... there's never anything traditional about it. It's always who can make the craziest egg (daddy usually wins!). But however they turn out, we always have fun, laugh and enjoy the time together.

Saturday night was awesome. I have always enjoyed setting up an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. But now I have a new helper ... Bub. He's now 10 and knows all about the Easter Bunny truths. But he stills loves the idea and the sweetness behind it. He was determined to set up the perfect egg hunt for his little sister. We had eggs, chocolates and goodies all over the house.
And Pie woke with excitement .
Bub just looked at me and whispered, "I love being on this side."

(the only moment a ray of light shined through.)

April in the Pacific Northwest .... its hardly ever dry. And it certainly wasn't dry on Easter. While the rain held out in the morning, which was lovely since church was outdoors for our Easter service, it poured the rest of the day. Mother Nature let loose ...

Pie's sweet Easter dress was only worn in the house and only for a little bit. It was so wet and cold, she opted for sweats!

Whats even sweeter is that my kiddos know Easter isn't really about eggs, goodies and bunnies.
They know and talk about the Lord ....
