First day of 4th grade ....

Backpack filled with paper, pencils, folders and pens, art supplies, p.e. shoes, scissors and glue. His new glasses. And a homemade hearty lunch in his lunchpack. Most importantly, a desire to learn.

We arrived at school a bit early and slowly walked down the hallway together. We found his desk and got him settled in. He gave me a hug and a kiss and told me he loved me. he made my heart smile.

As the bell rang, there he sat, along with his classmates, familiar faces and friends, ready for school to begin.

We left him with a bible verse for the day ...
