She turned four!
Simply amazing how quickly they grow. Simply amazing watching their little personalities come to be. Simply amazing learning their hearts.
She's so very sweet. Loving, kind, tenderhearted .... always wanting to share what she has, help others, and simply wanting to take care of all around her.
She's a tomboy. She's a princess. She's an artist. She's a little mommy.
Her imagination is bigger than she is.
She can spend hours doing artwork ... painting, coloring, chalk ... creating her own ideas and unique visions.
I can just as easily find her dressed up for a royal tea party with all her babies and stuffed animals or putting on a show at the piano with a microphone in hand, as I can ready to "rough and tumble" it with her brother. Whether its digging in the sand, playing football in the yard or climbing trees, she's right there with him. Dirt is her best friend ...
We truly spend most of our time together. No matter what I am doing, she is right there dong it with me ... cooking, cleaning, gardening, photography. It's so awesome to watch her grow and learn as it is listening to her now 4-year-old insights.
Tonight we made chocolate chip cookies. With her little apron on she helped measure, mix and bake. We chatted. She told me how much God loved her. And how her heart never wanted to grow up.
That's ok. I told her my heart wasn't ready for her to grow up either.
Then she cracked an egg into our batter and for the first time there were no shells to scoop out! Then she said "It must be because I'm four."
