School has ended for the year.
It's a bittersweet end. A strange moment in time. A change of season.
Time to say goodbye to third grade and move on. Our school is awesome. Our teachers, incredible. And while he'll return in the fall, it's still been a closure of sorts for him.
He's worked hard and diligently. He's a boy with a big heart ... caring, understanding, sensitive. And he's a little overwhelmed by the mixed emotions he's feeling.
It's led to great conversations about growing and the change of seasons we all go through. Whether it be school, a move, a job, a birth or a death, we all experience change.
A simple change ... yes. But big for him. And a good life leason.
I am so thankful for these moments ... using them to instruct and guide, to encourage and equip my children.
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Ecc.3:1
Onto summer ... long carefree days of play. Laughter. Innocence. Embrace it.
