Some days are simply full. Moving from one thing to the next, giving each activity or job your best. Some days we are all pulled in so many different directions, wearing so many different hats, so to speak.
Today has been that day. All good, just a lot to squeeze into one little day. I came in this evening weary, tired and hungry. We all did. Yet there was still dinner to be had, homework to be done, animals to feed.
But despite the long day, or because of it ... we are blessed.
And to snuggle in tonight with Pie and listen to her sweet lisping missing teeth voice tell me how great her day has been ... made my heart smile.
She went on to say that she was so thankful that God made Santa ... Oh, we know the one and only reason we celebrate Christmas. And so do the children. But I am also thankful for the magic Santa Claus brings to the season. And that my children believe. To watch their eyes get so big and bright, the anticipation, the surprise, the sure delight ... thank you Santa for bringing that little bit of magic each year ...
