Peaks at the last weeks ...
Kiddos laughter from the backyard ... playing football with Dan while I did dishes after a evening meal in the backyard.
Impromptu photo session with the kiddos (and neighbors' kiddos) while I had some vintage furniture I had used for a recent session.
A surprise little date night while the kiddos both went with friends to youth group.
Friends. Family. Kiddos running in and out of the house. Dirty feet.
School ending. Summer beginning.
Change ...
I love seeing change ... whether it be the seasons or in my children or the relationships we share. Change usually means growth. I am not the same person I was 10 years ago ... thank goodness :) The kiddos are growing and changing. I guess that's where I see it the most, as any mother does. It's a beautiful observation.
Pie has bloomed this year ... really in the confidence she has in herself.
Bub is just maturing as his first year of middle school comes to a close.
I vigilantly pray for each ...
But just as the kiddos change, I believe we all continue to change and grow no matter what age we are. Our hearts, our thoughts, our priorities. Our relationships deepen, my marriage, the relationships I share with the kiddos, friends. It all makes life so rich. I never want life to become stagnant.
Although change is beautiful, it still can be difficult. It is for me at times. With the school year ending I feel a little sadness amidst all the joy. I guess it's the letting go of what was ...
I am thankful for summer arriving ... the carefree days ahead ...
Peace ...
