They are my world, what can I say. Raising them right is my priority. Giving myself, my undivided attention, my heart. To know each of them, who they are, their hearts.
Bub has a heart for others. He truly cares.
Just last night he had to make a decision. He was invited to leave early on a trip with his cousins and aunt and uncle to another cousins house (we are leaving next week). At first he really wanted too and I thought that was great. He was to spent the night the night before as they were leaving early. But about 9pm Bub called me and asked if I would pick him up. I did. His cousin was ever so sad. We talked and talked but he was sure he didn't want to go until we all went. His reason .... his grandma is turning 70 on Sunday and he would miss it. He said that she was the nicest person he ever met, that she would do anything for him, is always there for him and he simply couldn't miss her birthday. He loves her so much.
He called her late last night and he told her all those things. That in itself was her birthday present.
She encouraged him to go and after a good night sleep he decided that's what he wanted to do.
His heart amazes me ....
He has enough energy to go and go. But he also knows when enough is enough. He can simply say "I'm tired" and enjoy spending an afternoon reading a book.
He can be my emotional one. One who gets frustrated when he can't do or grasp something. He likes peace. He likes to talk things through.

Then there is my Pie. She is so sweet. A tender heart.
She saved a little butterfly out of the swimming pool. Its wing was damaged. She held it, talked to it, named it Bella. We made a little house for her. It was a bug collector box packed with grass, flowers, rocks and a cap filled with water. Pie spent hours with Bella. That night she flew away ...
Pie was sad, but so happy at the same time.
Funny little thing. The next day when we were at the pool, a butterfly landed on the flower next to us. It was a butterfly with a damaged wing. It was Bella ...
"You can chase a butterfly all over the field and never catch it. But if you sit quietly in the grass, it will come and sit on your shoulder." - Unknown
How true for all of us ... in so many things ...
Pie has also knocked a tooth loose! While climbing a little rail fence in the yard she slipped and hit her mouth. And yes, a loose tooth.
