"The Lord has wonderful plans for your life. Trust in Him and He will give you more than you ever dreamed was possible" ....
So to most people (myself included) it looks like a wooden play structure in the sand. But not to Pie. It's her home ... the upper portion of the play structure .... there are blankets on the sides as walls, and of course one blanket for the floor. Her babies are up there, as well as toys, books, and a few other odds and ends. The sand area below her "house" is the "kitchen", where she prepares meals for her babies and any other visitors.
Today (and most days) I am the visitor. It's pouring down rain but we are safe and dry in Pie's house.
We have played many of games, read and told stories. She even took me to her "kitchen" and taught me how to make a cake. She gave me my list of ingredients ... which included flour, sugar, chocolate, baking powder, water, and a pipkin of salt. She then had me put it in the "oven" and told me to be careful not to burn myself.
So simple .... nothing fancy. Just a playhouse covered in blankets in the sand. But to Pie, its a cozy little home where she can take care of babies and visitors alike, feed them well, and of course, keep them dry when the rain comes.
We are now sipping hot tea in Pie's house, listening to the rain ....
I have neglected all responsibility today. And I do not feel bad. Laundry can be folded later. And I will edit photos for work tonight when the kiddos are sleeping. It will be a late night but worth it.
I played with Pie. I learned from Pie .... it's the simple things in life .... finding joy in the little things. It's a good day ....
