Monday ...

Back to real life ... after a near four week hiatus. With a trip up north to visit family, a trip down south to the most magical place on earth (yes, we took the kiddos to Disneyland, along with their grandparents), Christmas, and New Years, we have been on a true break! Late nights of games and movies, sleeping in til nine ... just fun. An awesome way to close 2009.


But today, very early today, we re-entered our normal lives. I thought it was going to be a rough morning, ... but I was wrong.

I was up and out for a run before dawn ... truly thought I was going to collapse!. Then home, drinking coffee (that me sweet husband had ready) with a bit of quiet devotional time by a fire.

By 5:45 my son was up. He has such an old soul. Truly an old man at heart! Up early, in pj's, a robe and glasses ... making his way to a cozy chair by the fire ... a blanket to cover him, a hot cup of tea in hand and a good book, right now it's "War of the Worlds." Typical morning for him ... slow, leisurely, peaceful.

Not too long after my sweet girl followed ... simply smiling, excited for the day.

Then it was onto school and preschool. Errands. Housework. Photography work.
Ballet and basketball.

Then home again ... our favorite place to be ...
