The time has certainly flown by this past week. All the hustle and bustle of the season .... I do love it.

So much has been on my heart, yet I haven't taken the time to write as of late. Instead, I have been spending the moments with my family ... my beautiful husband and children.

We have shopped, baked, wrapped, sang songs, played games, watched Christmas movies, looked at lights, simply relaxed at home with one another ... its truly been a magical season. And what even makes it more magical is watching my children truly understand the meaning of Christmas .... Jesus ....

Such giving hearts ... my son wrote his Christmas letter asking for gifts for his family. And today he treated the family to an outing to the movies, letting his sister pick!
I love surprising them with special gifts at Christmas, and even more so when I see each of them being so generous. They simple make my heart smile.

I do love this time of year .... the weather, the smells, the smiles. The children and I made ornaments and cards, plus we baked and baked and baked, mostly to drop off to friends and neighbors (but we did nibble). Its so nice to share what we have, to take time, to visit.

So much attention can be put on the gifts, the decorations, the stuff ... and I find that so overwhelming.

Christmas is simple ... celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

The focus should be about people, relationships, being together.

I do love our family traditions of trimming the tree, the thoughtfully, wrapped gifts tucked below. But its the heart behind the tree, the gifts that truly matters. It makes the season so much more whole, magical ...
Watching my kiddos hearts, visiting friends and neighbors, the gestures of giving, puts it into the proper perspective.

Enjoy the moments, live each to the fullest ... peace ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS ....
