This and that ...
Well, what can I say .... these past days have been full. Family, work, home, it all keeps me busy.
I worked a bit. No shoots, but meeting with and talking to clients for some upcoming jobs. The thought process begins ...
School work, school work, school work. I am quite involved at my sons' school. I enjoy being around, helping out where I can. This week we finished a project he's been working on ... a report on a recently read book. "Inkheart," was the choice and we made a dodecahedron with character and event summaries, along with accompanying artwork. We had a wonderful time working together and felt very accomplished when we were done!
We did several projects around the house .... a little painting, redoing my daughters small table and chairs, planting some flowers. She helped with each project. She loves to be involved and does her best at whatever the job is. We had painted her table a while back (which she mostly uses for tea parties), so the next step was to add buttons all around the edges. It was an idea I took away from a job I did recently, and my daughter just loved the idea. We worked together with glue and various sized buttons. I loved watching her concentrate and her tiny little hands work. The job was messy but what fun we had together. We celebrated with a tea party of course.
There was also the crazy moments of the week. An exploding mayo jar in the kitchen, breaking glass from our cat jumping onto the cutting board balanced in the sink, and through a series of unfortunate events, a hole in our garage wall from my husband accidently hitting a toy car! What do you do ... laugh I suppose ...
The weather was warm and springlike the first of the week, but turned to rain today. Perfectly fitting as I was simply tired today. We were in most the day, mellow, reading books.
We had great family time this week ... no matter what we did we simply enjoyed doing it together. The kids were gracious, helpful (to me and each other) and just happy. A blessed week ....
