It's late and everyone is tucked into bed for a good nights sleep. The house is quiet and I finally have a moment.
I just finished editing a few more photos and have settled onto the couch. My last shoot was for a young couple who just had their first babe ... she was one month old. The shoot was sweet. It was at our home and very casual. My kids were with me (my assistants so to speak). They helped me create a small studio space in the living room, full with props fit for a newborn. They were quiet during the shoot itself and always ready to lend a hand. And after, they were full of ideas, suggestions and questions!
It was nice to have the kids help me, let them be apart of my work. We all felt great at the end and the results were lovely.
Other than that, life has been quiet the past week. I have been carless, as one of ours in in the shop. So we have been home bound for the most part, except for our adventures on our bicycles. The rides to and from school have been fun, with stops at the creek on the way home that my son loves to venture to.
We've been taking note of all the beauty right around us that we usually pass right by in the car. So often I feel like we're so busy, getting to and fro, with all that has to be done. This time has truly been good for us ... and I'm grateful for it.
