Springs arrival ...

Spring has arrived ... the blooming flowers, the start of a garden, the warm midday sunshine and the chilly evenings. For me it's to be a time of renewal, a fresh start so to speak. I love the early sunrise, the growing days and the laughter of my children as the return to playing outside, making sandcastles in the sandbox, riding bikes or simply running in the yard.

However, we decided to make one last trip for the seaon to the snow for a day of snowboarding and skiing. It was a beautiful day on the mountain. We all got the chance to have some fun ... and what fun to watch the kids ski! While my son has been skiing for five years now (sounds a bit funny to say as he is only nine), my three year daughter made her first attempt to ski. She was so excited to try (she talked about going all of last week), and boy, she was a champ! After a few runs, her legs were tired and she was ready for some hot cocoa. So after a day of snowboarding, skiing, making snow angels and throwing a few snowballs, we said goodbye to the season .... and headed home to the spring ...
