Oh, what a week. It was busy, that's for sure. Between the kids activities and work around the house, I squeezed in quite a bit of photography work. Four shoots to be exact.
Finding balance is sometimes a challenge for me and not letting myself become overwelmed is even more of a challenge. But I'm trying. Trying to simply enjoy each moment for what is is .... whether it's baseball with my son, barbies with my daughter, time with my husband, working around the house or a conversation with a friend ... be in the moment fully and not be burdoned with whats next, on my plate for tomorrow or any sort of deadline I may have. And I believe that's the sort of life we are all supposed to have .... being fully engaged in every moment. I believe that it leads to being full, content, happy.
Sometimes easier said than done .... but I'm working on it.
So after our long week, Sunday was a day of refreshing and renewing. After a wonderful church message, which appropriately happened to be about being content with what we have today and not worrying about tomorrow ... instead keep our eyes on heavenly treasures ... we spent the afternoon playing.
The spring sun was warm and we simply lost track of time enjoying it. The kids rode bikes and quads (yes, even the three year old loves to ride on the quad!), climbing trees, running, swinging and finding lizards. There was a even a quick dip in the pool!
I love the longer days, watching the kids play and laugh, and finally tucking them into bed, knowing the day was fun and full. My heart now peaceful, my mind renewed ... and ready for a new week to begin ...
